ARTWORKS – 2018
In these paintings I’m made, which I’m calling ‘Women Portraits Paintings: A conversation with Virginia Woolf’ I was interested in the concept of seriality as a method of investigating the continuum as a work in progress linked to life and to passage of time. In these paintings the method of composition is not relational, the portraits are drawn in a serial geometric structure that refers to the minimal art and my own process of creation of the works. The last works that I’m calling ‘Ophelia after Millais’ are inspired in the play Hamlet. In these paintings I’m trying to balance between the serial geometric structure and gestual painting. In these works I’m working on I try to represent movement.
